ANNIE CRYAR

Annie began her interest in bodywork 1972 with her first Yoga class. Her Shiatsu studies commenced in 1988 with Nicola Lee, a pioneer of Shiatsu in the UK. Her Diploma in Shiatsu (1993) from The Shiatsu College was followed by years of further study in Shiatsu, Qigong and meditation. Qualifications along this road include: a BSc (Health Studies), a Diploma in Health Promotion, QTS (Qualified teacher), BTEC level 4 in the Teaching and Practice of Yoga (specialising in the relationship between Yoga and Shiatsu) Certificates of qualification in the teaching of Qigong.

In 2000 Annie became Principal of the Hastings branch of the Shiatsu College and has since trained people from all walks of life in Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Annie is a member of the register of the Shiatsu Society ( MRSS ). She has been an active member, contributing to the development of Shiatsu’s leading professional body. Annie is on the board of assessors, the teacher training panel, and advises on Education for the Shiatsu Society. She is also registered with the Complementary Healthcare Council.

Over the past 23 years Annie has treated hundreds of people with the fundamental principle of stimulating wellness. She has worked with a wide variety of clients and settings, she is dedicated to bringing the wonderful art and science of Shiatsu to benefit as many people in the community that she can reach.
