
LORNA CORDWELL
Lorna Cordwell is a Psychotherapist who offers CBT, Hypnotherapy and other therapeutic solutions to help you reach your goals. Lorna offers short term solution focused therapy for fear of flying, driving test, exam, interview or public speaking nerves; releasing of habits like smoking, drinking and nailbiting.
She also offers therapy for times of stress and change, grief and loss, anxiety or panic. With over 20 years experience as a therapist, she also has a practice in Harley Street, London, is a senior Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy tutor for Chrysalis College’s Diploma Course, Facilitates several therapist supervision groups and runs confidence building and assertiveness training for groups. Lorna has written two self help therapy books, ‘Get Past Driving Test Nerves’ and ‘Get Past Exam Nerves’ published by Summersdale (which are available in The Wellington Centre’s shop).
Lorna also has specific training in CBT and Hypnotherapy support for those coping with diagnosis and treatment of cancer and she was involved in an 18-month research project at Sussex Cancer Centre funded by the Community Fund. She has a special interest in helping people understand their mind-body connection, regaining their sense of control and restoring their natural confidence.
Lorna studied Social Psychology at the University of London and has a postgraduate Diploma in Hypnosis and Psychotherapy from the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. She is a full member of the National Register of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists and of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
