MADELEINE SCOTT
BWY (Dip), BWY Advanced Teaching (Dip), KHYF Yoga Techer

Madeleine is an experienced teacher who is qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga and the Krishnamaracharya Healing & Yoga Foundation.  She has taught in many different locations including the renowned Bailiff’s Court Spa and for corporate groups including Virgin Atlantic and Goodwood, as well as Battle Abbey Prep School and Cooden Beach Golf Club (yoga for injury prevention and golf performance).

Explains Madeleine:  ‘My Yoga journey started with a riding accident that caused me many years of suffering. It led me to Yoga and the passion to give back and share.

I like the definition of Yoga as ‘intelligent action’; being able to act from a place of awareness. If Yoga is conscious change, is it possible without exploring our inner-self and driving forces? With this in mind I teach from the kriya Yoga path.

I have been teaching since 2003;  trained with the British Wheel of Yoga and numerous courses since. I am currently extending my learning with the Yoga Journey course mentored by Sarah Ryan and Liz Murtha. The depth of knowledge from the Krishnamacharya tradition has refined my understanding of Yoga and its potential.

I teach pre to post-natal Yoga, one-to-one Yoga therapy, children’s Yoga and other general classes. I love learning and extending myself with new challenges and concepts.  I like to assist people in developing their potential and trust in themselves.’
