DR. RICHARD BAILIE

Dr Richard Bailie is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who specialises in helping children, young people and their families overcome problems and get back on their feet.

He has 10 years experience of working in the NHS. He currently works in Eastbourne with young people and their families.   

Richard’s approach to therapy is very open and straightforward. He is keen to help families find ways of taking the important first steps in a new direction.

From a theoretical point of view Richard often draws on Cognitive Behavioural, Solution Focussed and Systemic principles (using family relationships to support change).

Richard has also conducted research into how families recover after a traumatic event and written an advice leaflet with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children aimed at parents and professionals who want to know the best way to support their child after a frightening event.
