HOPI EAR CANDLES (THERMO AURICULAR THERAPY)

This is an ancient and natural therapy handed down by many civilisations.  The Hopi – the oldest Pueblo people – possessed great medicinal knowledge and spirituality, and are thought to have brought this knowledge to Europe.

Thermo Auricular Therapy is an effective, pleasant and non-invasive method of treatment to help relieve ear, nose and throat conditions.  The candles act like a chimney, drawing away the vapour and any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed.  The vibration of the rising air column serves to gently massage the ear drum and promote secretion in the sinuses.  This will regulate pressure - which has a soothing action – and together with the warmth, will strengthen the immune system.  Important acupuncture points and reflex zones can be stimulated.

Thermo Auricular Therapy can be helpful with the following conditions:

•  Migraine
•  Colds, flu and sinusitis
•  Snoring
•  Stress reduction
•  Noises in the ears, ringing, tinnitus

When is Auricular Therapy available?
Angela Kirk offers this therapy at 44 Wellington Square on Wednesdays between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Karen Dunne offers this therapy at 44 Wellington Square from Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. (last appointment 6.30 p.m.). NB She is not available on Wednesdays as she travels to London to see clients.

Prices
With Angela Kirk:
One session lasts either half an hour or an hour;  an initial course of treatment is usually three sessions.
One hour of Thermo Auricular Therapy is £47, the treatment will also include a face and head massage, which is deeply relaxing.
A half-hour treatment is £30
(cost of the candles  is  included in the treatment price and each candle takes approximately 10 minutes to burn and two candles are generally used )

With Karen Dunne:
A half-hour treatment is £25 and 45 minutes is £40.
