TAI CHI QIGONG

Described as a moving meditation, Qigong is a 5000-year-old Chinese tradition of movement, breathing and meditative techniques.  It has been practised by Taoist and Buddhist monks to enhance energy for health, vitality, longevity and enlightenment.  Today, Tai Chi Qigong is one of the most popular Qigong in the world, practiced by over 10 million people.

Qi (chi, ki) or prana (as it’s known in the Indian tradition), is the subtle energy that animates all life and connects us to the universe. Gong means art or work and what you are learning is the art of energy, how to develop it, how to feel it and how to store it within your body.

Qigong is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the gentle, rhythmic movements are designed to allow qi to travel freely through the meridians and acupuncture points of the body. The breathing and meditative techniques bring a deep sense of peace and relaxation, calming the mind and allowing us to connect with our inner potential and higher wisdom.

Tai Chi Qigong is an 18 form flowing Qigong, based on some of the best movements from the yang style Tai Chi Chuan, which can be practiced by people of all ages and levels of fitness. You will also learn other Qigong forms, such as the 8 Strands of Brocade and 5 Element Qigong.

Some of the benefits of Tai Chi Qigong: relaxes mind and body, restores balance and energy, improves breathing and circulation, loosens and strengthens joints and muscles, improves posture and balance, enhances well-being and vitality.

Please wear loose comfortable clothing.
