EVENING GENERAL YOGA CLASS with LISA POWELL
Date: Monday 17th March 2014 from 5.45 – 7.00 p.m.
Price: £36 for six weeks; £7 drop-in if space available. Please note there are no classes on Bank Holiday Mondays. Please pay Lisa direct for this.  Please book in advance to secure a place on 07733-395065 or 01424-445653.

General yoga class for all levels, with Yoga postures, breathing and relaxation. This six-week course is extremely popular and many students sign up time and again...

Lisa is a highly-trained Yoga teacher who will ensure that you receive close attention during the class in order to help with your postures, ensuring that those who have done Yoga for a long time are suitably challenged - while newcomers are introduced to this very popular form of exercise in a gentle, encouraging and non-competitive way.

We provide mats and blankets.

If you are signing up for this course for the first time, Lisa will explain about access to the building, as Reception is now closed in the evenings and there is a new system for entry.

6-WEEK PREGNANCY YOGA COURSE with LISA POWELL
Starts
: Monday 17th March 2014 from 7.15 – 8.30 p.m.
Prices

Yoga can support and nourish you through the challenges of pregnancy and childbirth. This gentle, energising and nurturing class combines fluid movement, breath, sound and deep relaxation techniques specifically designed to help women enjoy and celebrate the journey to motherhood…

• Take time to deeply relax and connect with your baby
• Strengthen your body and prepare for birth
• Create space to feel more comfortable in your body and peaceful in your mind…

This course is repeated in 6-week blocks which are priced £54;  and places are limited so please book early. You can repeat this class throughout your pregnancy.

NB Suitable for 15 weeks onwards; you will need to fill in a health questionnaire before the start of the first class in the series. Mats, blankets and bolsters supplied.

VOICEWORK with NARAYANI
Dates: Friday 25th April 2014
Price: £10 per drop-in session, payable on the day

Voicework offers you an experience of your voice, your unique expression, and sense of connection to a greater whole. Narayani combines chanting, mantras, sound and song in a way that will both support and expand you. The practices she offers will bring out new voices and emotions. This helps to surface the patterns and habits that emerge when you seek to express yourself. Singing and sounding in this way helps to release stuck energy and emotions, leading to a sense of lightness, clarity- and often a new kind of stillness.

Voicework is safe and fun for people with no previous singing experience and rich enough to inspire and challenge those who have been practicing voice work regularly. You’ll learn how to use your voice as a tool for expressing what you really feel, accessing the inner ‘voice’ of wisdom at your centre. Narayani skillfully combines ancient and modern techniques to open your voice and open your heart. These are based on the Indian chakra system which unites body and mind energetically, incorporating ancient spiritual mantras that are said to be infused with intention and universal power. They draw upon techniques taught by the Naked Voice and all combined serve to empower us in a group and as individuals.
