This ancient and healing practice is the original dynamic form of yoga. The synchronisation of breath with movement (vinyasa), the flowing sequence of specific postures (asanas) develops strength, stamina, flexibility in the body, and brings a calmness to the mind.
This course provides the perfect introduction to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, offering a structured and progressive way to learn step by step over the 6 weeks. During the course we will cover the fundamentals of the Ashtanga method, including breath, bandhas, sun salutations, asanas and a simple closing sequence. We conclude each class with guided relaxation/meditation.
An info booklet is included as part of the course to facilitate and encourage a little home practice, so as to get the most from each session. Suitable for complete beginners and for those with some experience of yoga.
Maximum 12 students only, to ensure individual attention.

Andria is a dedicated and long time student of John Scott and David Swenson, and has also studied with Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois in Mysore, Nancy Gilgoff, David Garrigues, Lucy Crawford and David Keil. Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance (E-RYT) with 2000+ hours of teaching experience.
