Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga with Andria Degens

This introductory course is perfect for beginners and will give you a firm foundation from which to begin your yoga practice. Ashtanga Yoga is a healing and dynamic form of yoga as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Experience the unique and pure simplicity of this ancient yoga method, which utilizes three key elements simultaneously: synchronising the breath with movement, a sequence of cleansing postures, and specific gaze points. This potent combination can bring about a transformation in the health of body, mind and spirit. The heat created internally by this physically challenging practice is detoxifying and invigorating, whilst at the same time bringing equanimity to the mind and joy in the heart.

Places are limited to 12 students only. These places fill up quickly, so it is advised to book your space well in advance.

This 6 Week Course takes place on Mondays, 5.45 – 7.15pm

Andria is a dedicated and direct student of the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Andria is also one of John Scott’s first TTC graduates, and a long time student of David Swenson. She has been practicing yoga for 30 years and teaching for 15 years. Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT, YACEP) with the Yoga Alliance.
