Vianney Faudemer

The yoga teacher who originally established the Iyengar Yoga Institute South London, awakened my curiosity in yoga during my first ever class in 2015. From this point on, I have become intrigued with this 5000-year-old practice.

At first, whenever I had some free time, I assisted senior teachers in their classes. Gradually, as I gained more confidence and understanding, I started a six-year-journey to become a Level 1 Iyengar Yoga teacher under the guidance and mentoring of senior Iyengar Yoga teachers.

In my classes, we will learn together from the many āsanas, with an aim to not only strengthen both physical and mental well-being, but also to give you the tools to embark on your own yoga journey.

Yoga is a journey of the self, through the self, to the self (yatroparamate cittam̐, niruddham̐ yoga-sevayã, yatra caivātmanātmānam̐, paśyann ātmani tuṣyati - Bhagavad Gita 6.20)

My classes will be every Thursday, 1pm-2pm, suitable for beginners with little yoga experience, as well as general level students with more experience.

£10 per class (£5 for people struggling financially
