At The Wellington Health & Wellbeing Centre, we believe in positive health: helping you to create a balanced life and a healthy body, to help prevent health problems before they start, through good diet, posture, exercise, rest and emotional equilibrium. For people living with a long-term condition, our experienced therapists can help you feel supported to manage your health needs and get the best out of life.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a method designed to free us from unwanted emotions. Energy EFT goes one step further and aims to increase the energy flow beyond the absence of negative emotions and strives for highly positive and energized states.
Hypnosis creates a deeply relaxed state in which mental stress and bodily tension are reduced. In this relaxed state, the mind is usually more open to the process of change. The client and therapist work together, using a mutually agreed approach to enhance mental, physical and emotional well-being and bring about desired changes in habits, mannerisms, thought patterns as well as emotional and physical experiences.
Myofascial Energetic Release (MER) is a form of deeply healing bodywork that uses slow, connected, strong and light touch to bring physical and emotional release to the body and mind.
MER works with deep and superficial muscular fascia that helps the body emotionally or energetically release stuck and stagnant energy held in the body that can make you feel tight, stiff, immobile, contracted, stuck. This stagnation occurs from a lifetime of suppressing emotions, experiencing trauma, living sedentary lifestyles, or living with chronic conditions. MER invites the participant to proactively engage in the bodywork process and their innate healing power through movement and dialogue during the session. This is invitation only, not a requirement for a positive outcome.
Ease discomfort | release PAIN & tension | find flow, fluidity and Freedom in your body.
Natural Nutrition is a safe, holistic therapy which addresses the underlying causes of disease and supports long-term real recovery. Natural Nutrition differs from other nutritional therapies because it treats the whole person, not just the symptoms, and offers more than supplementation to maximise health and wellbeing.
Physiotherapy is a science-based health care practice. Manual therapy and exercise prescription are used to rehabilitate and re-educate. The aim is to optimise an individual’s physical capacity to achieve realistic goals. The Wellington Health & Wellbeing Centre’s Physiotherapist, Hannah Collinson, takes a clinical and holistc approach to the delivery of Physiotherapy interventions, considering mind-body connections in order to promote rapid healing and prevent re-injury.
Traditionally a Japanese therapy, Reiki (pronounced ‘Ray-kee’) works energetically on the physical, mental and emotional levels.
