Amanda Dormon

Relationship counselling and psychotherapy for couples and individuals

Couples often come to see me at a crucial turning point in their relationship, following the birth of a child, after an affair, or when communication feels like it has broken down.

I also see individuals affected by the same issues, plus everything from anxiety, grief, loss and trauma, to issues around identity, addiction, depression or a sense that life may not have turned out the way they would have hoped.

Whatever you’re struggling with, having a non-judgmental other, who is able to think when thinking can often feel impossible, can bring relief and a feeling of being understood, perhaps for the very first time.

 What I offer:

·      Weekly sessions for couples or individuals with an experienced and compassionate therapist

·      Online or face to face sessions at a time that suits you

·      Sessions from £80 (please ask about concessions)

About me

I qualified with a PGDip in Couple and Individual Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Tavistock Relationships – recognised nationally and internationally as a leading authority on couple relationships.

I have also trained and worked as a Samaritan.
I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Psychotherapy and Counselling) and I abide by the BACP code of ethics.

I have been in private practice since 2015.

What next?

Simply give me a call, or email me to book an introductory session. The introductory session is a full 50-minute session, giving you the chance to talk about what’s going on and how you feel. It’s also a good opportunity to see if I’m the right therapist for you.
